A cocktail bar at night: a straight line of warm Hyperion 16 neon under the green marble bar top along a fluted oak front, an even line of Titan strip under each of three walnut shelves of bottles on green tiles, and four small black Bolt downlights in a row above the counter, with a bartender stirring a drink and two guests laughing on leather stools.

Neon along the bar. Strip under every shelf. A downlight over every pour.

Neon along the bar front, strip under the back bar and small downlights over the counter.

A bar at 3pm before opening, in daylight from the street window: the bartender lines bottles along the top shelf, a staffer polishes a coupe and the owner laughs over a tablet, with every back-bar shelf lit by a straight, even line of Titan strip in clean neutral white.

15:00 · Set-up

Clean white while you set up.

A straight line of Titan under every shelf, in clean neutral white for stock-take, with CRI 90, so every label and every colour reads true.

Tunable white

Fresh after work. Warm by eight.

Crisp white for the after-work rush, warming through the evening as the room fills, from the same line of light along the bar.

The after-work crowd at 5:30pm: five colleagues at the bar with beer and wine, served by two bartenders in black shirts and leather aprons, with the Hyperion 16 line under the bar top, the shelf lines and the downlights all in fresh cool white.
6000K, cool white
The same bar, crowd and bartenders later in the evening, every light now a low, warm amber white.
2700K, warm white

Tunable white adjusts from 6000K to 2700K.

Also available in a fixed 2700K, 3000K or 4000K.

A couple on a date clink coupe cocktails on two stools at the end of the bar, a straight line of warm Hyperion 16 neon under the marble bar top glowing down the fluted oak front behind their knees.

19:30 · The first round

One line, end to end.

A 16x17mm line of Hyperion 16 tucked under the bar top runs the whole bar front with no dots and no gaps, and is sealed to take the spills a bar sees every night.

The first pour. The last song.

The bartender strains a negroni over a clear ice cube in a tight round pool of warm light on the green marble, directly under a small black Bolt downlight set against the ceiling, with the next pool further along the bar.

20:30 · The pour

A pool of light at every pour.

Each pour station gets its own tight pool from a small Bolt above, with UGR <16 so no one at the bar looks into glare, and CRI 90 so the negroni is the right red.

Beam angles

Tight, or a little wider.

Bolt comes in 20° and 36° beams: a crisp pool for one glass, or a softer one across a station.

Diagram of one downlight with its 20° and 36° beams drawn to scale on a wall.
The bar at 9pm with four friends standing at the counter: the Hyperion 16 line under the bar top and the Titan strips under the shelves glow a deep rose-magenta, washing the fluted oak and the bottles.

Colour

Any white. Then any colour.

As the night turns, the line along the bar and the strip under the shelves can move from warm white to amber to deep rose, together, on one system.

A packed Friday night: eight friends toasting and laughing along the bar, two bartenders making drinks, and every back-bar shelf lit by a straight, even line of warm Titan strip.

Fri 22:30 · Friday

The back bar does the selling.

High-output Titan under every shelf keeps the bottles bright and the back bar glowing behind a full house.

The room people want to be in, on both sides of the bar.

Last orders at 1am: the bar dimmed right down, the Hyperion 16 line a low amber glow along the bar front, as a couple leans in at the end of the counter and the bartender dries a glass.

01:00 · Last orders

Down to a glow.

Everything dims together to a low, warm glow, so the last table never feels hurried out.

After close: stools upturned on the bar, the bartender wiping the marble and a staffer sweeping, laughing, under every light turned back up to clean neutral white.

01:30 · Close

Back to white for the close.

One button brings every line back up to clean white, so the bar is wiped, swept and stocked in honest light.

Control

Every light, one system.

Neon, strip and downlights all run on DALI-2, so set-up, after work, Friday night and close are each one scene.

How DALI-2 works

On a quiet Sunday afternoon the owner sits alone at her finished bar with a coffee, smiling along the counter, the lights on in warm white and daylight from the street window.

Sunday · The fit-out

The bar you pictured.

Every light here is rated for 50,000 hours or more and backed by a 5‑year warranty, so the bar you built keeps looking the way you pictured it.
